About Jeff
I used to think I was the most important person in my company.
I was. That was the problem.

Every decision came to me. Every fire. Every quick question.
I built a business that was really good at one thing: needing me.
I was also a terrible boss. Working for me was dizzying. All visionary, no follow-through. I changed my mind constantly, got over-involved in things I should not have even been aware of, and was terrible at holding people accountable.
I hated managing people. I just wanted them to do their jobs. Was that too much to ask?
Then I found EOS.
I self-implemented first because of course I did. I am an entrepreneur. We do not ask for directions or trust others completely or want to spend the money. Eventually I hired an EOS Implementer and it changed everything.
Within five years sales rose 105% and profit grew 484%. And for the first time I had a leadership team that could actually lead.
That business became an 8-figure company. And I became unnecessary to its daily operation.
Before I became an EOS Implementer I spent 30 plus years doing what you are doing: building, breaking, fixing, and scaling businesses. I founded P.C. Vaughan Mfg. Corp. in 1990, acquired Rostar Filters in 2000, and scaled the combined business to 8 figures. I have hired and led hundreds of people across every aspect of a business, from front-line workers to engineers to key executives.
I trained to become a yoga teacher, eventually opened a studio in the Silver Lake neighborhood of Los Angeles in 2006, built it up to 20 teachers on the schedule, and exited in 2011.
I served as Chairman of the Board of the Filter Manufacturers Council. I spent three years lobbying Congress for consumer protections on behalf of
The Autocare Association. And I played pool professionally, obviously.
I have been seated at different types of tables, including boardrooms, poker tables, pool halls, and in the offices of US Senators and Representatives.
And through that I learned that I can read a room. When I sit across from a frustrated business owner, I know how to meet them where they are.
I have been a member of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) for a decade. EO is a global community of over 20,000 founders and CEOs who hold each other to a higher standard. I have served on the EO Los Angeles Valley board for six years and I am honored to serve as President of my chapter for the 2026/2027 year.
I coach hard and I call out what I see, including that little piece of lettuce caught in your teeth from lunch. My clients would tell you that I push them to perform at levels they did not think were possible. I believe
in them often even when they do not believe in themselves.
My clients usually hug me when they come in. Ask any of them and they will tell you I feel like part of their team. I have had people call me crying because they hit a milestone they never thought possible. And I will
usually cry with them because I am as happy as they are.
This is not transactional.
I help teams become open and honest so they can have the conversations they have been avoiding, the ones that move the needle.
One of my favorite things about how I work is that we never sign a contract. You are not locked into working with me. You choose to keep working together because you want to, not because you have to.
My job is to teach you how to run your business and get out of your way so you can do it without me.
A leader's job is to do what needs to be done, when it needs to be done, in the way it needs to be done, whether you like it or not, and whether they like it or not.
My session room, The Room Where It Happens, sits on the water in Oxnard Shores. I typically work with companies in Ventura County, Santa Barbara, and the greater Los Angeles area, though I have a handful of clients in other parts of the world.
And yes, the beard has magical powers.
